• First step in reading the problem is to recognize this as uniform circular motion. Thus we have the four equations:

vq = rw ar = -rw2

f = w/2p and T = 1/f .

• Next from the problem we are given:

r = 93 million miles = 1.49 x 1011 m;

T = 365 days = 3.15 x 107 sec.
