• We can use the torque equation first, since rc=0 eliminates one of the unknowns, Fc.

Fc*rc + Fb*rb - W*rw = 0 or Fb = W*rw/rb .

Then we can use the force equation to find Fc .

-Fc + Fb - W = 0, or Fc = Fb - W.
