E-Mailing Computer Homework Scores

The computer homework programs create a file (called stres.dat) that records your responses to the problems. You specify where the computer writes this file when you first start up the computer homework program. Make sure you know where this file is. (If you don't remember or forget, you can use the Windows Explorer program's Search tool to try to find it.) You can bring the file to me on diskette, or you can e-mail me the file. Below is one way you can e-mail me the file.

One way to e-mail me your scores is to use CBU's WebMail utility. It is easy to use and you don't have to put the stres.dat file into your Sheba directory as you do with Pine. To e-mail the file with WebMail, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to webmail.cbu.edu (see link below).
  2. Enter your CBU username and password.
  3. Click on the "Create" button on the top bar.
  4. Enter my e-mail address (jholmes@cbu.edu) in the TO line.
  5. Click on the "Attach" button on the top bar.
  6. Click on the "Browse" button and find the stres.dat file. Click "Open".
  7. Click on the "Add File" button.
  8. Click on the "OK" button.
  9. Click on the "Send" button.
  10. Click on the "Logout" button on the top bar.
