Voltages due to several point charges
Since voltage, like energy, is a scalar, we can simply add the voltages created by individual point charges at any point in space to find the total voltage at that point in space: Vtotal = S k qi / ri .
If we know where the charges are, we can (at least in principle) determine the voltage at any location.
