What happens to the burned out core of the star that underwent supernova?
It will either end up with all the electrons being smashed into the nuclei, causing a neutron star. This star has gravity so strong that the electrons cannot re-escape.
Or it will end up with even the nuclei being crushed and so will form a “black hole”.
