Magnetic Susceptibility and Magnetic permeability
To give a quantitative measure to the effects of materials on magnetic fields, and to relate B, M and H to one another, we define two additional quantities:
m = magnetic permeability: B = mH , and
(mo is the value of m in vacuum)
? = magnetic susceptibility: M = CH .
