neuroscience lab - mapping regions of the brain

The area of neuroscience touches both biology and psychology.  At CBU you can get a degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology, or you can get a degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology.   Whichever way you choose to go, we recommend the following courses:  Principles of Biology I (BIOL 111 & lab),  Principles of Biology II (BIOL 112 & lab),  Vertebrate Physiology (BIOL 312 & lab), and Neuroscience (BIOL 415 & lab);  General Psychology (PSYC 105),  Human Development (PSYC 218),  Biological Psychology (PSYC 225), and  Applications of Memory (PSYC 370).  You can top off your major by choosing a senior research project in the area of neuroscience.

Depending on which way you go, you can choose from the following related courses:   Biochemistry (CHEM 312 & lab), Psychopathology (PSYC 230), Animal Cognition (PSYC 240, Cognitive Psychology (PSCY 440) and Connectionist Artificial Intelligence (ECE 457).
