Kristin holds a Ph.D. from The University of Memphis in organization behavior and human resource
management, with a minor in strategic management. Her dissertation title was "The effects of
cooperative learning, cohesion and commitment on team performance."
Kristin also holds an M.B.A. (1980) from Memphis State University and an A.B. (1977) from
Mount
Holyoke College, with a major in Medieval
Studies.
Before enrolling at The University of Memphis, she worked for many years in
HR
management and consulting, in both private industry and consulting.
Her private industry experience was in the areas of job analysis and evaluation,
compensation and employee benefits. Her consulting projects were primarily in the areas of job analysis, employee selection, and
organizational
development and included the development of selection testing and interviewing
programs,
individual skill assessments, and organization surveys. These projects were conducted for
both
national and local clients.
