You can pick up the solutions to Exam 4 on Tuesday after 10:00.  They will be on the floor outside my office (Nolan 102).


Class 42 Mon April 28

Exam 4 covers Sections 3.3, 3.4, 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, & 4.4.


Class 41 Fri April 25

1.     Study Section 4.4.

3.     Hwk 19 is due Friday: p. 284: 14, 20, 22. “Sketch” means to plot points, use a ruler to draw axes, etc.  See the Homework Guidelines---you will receive 0 points if you violate just one of the rules in the Homework Guidelines.  Also, I expect the problems to be stated using complete sentences.

For Wednesday, study Section 3.4 and practice p. 284: 1, 5, 9.         

Exam 3 today covers Sections 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, 2.8, 2.9, 3.1, 3.2, & 3.3.

Exam 1 on Monday will cover Sections 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4 (omit “Method of Bisections”), 1.5 (omit “slant asymptotes”), and the trig review in Labs 2 & 3.

Class 10 Wed Jan. 28   

Continue studying Section 1.5 and work on the practice problems.  And study for Monday’s exam.  Do not wait until the weekend to begin.

I am returning Homework 4 today.  If your homework has a checkmark, I gave you 10 points---however, that does not mean it is correct.  Check your own work using the Key.  If you did not attempt or finish a problem or if you clearly did not follow the Homework Rules, I did deduct points.

        Note. These are pencil-and-paper problems that are to be worked using the limit rules and theorems.  Do not use the calculator other than to check your answers.
