The final exam will begin at 8:30 and end at 10:30.  However, I will let you start earlier when I get to the classroom by approximately 8:15.

Don’t forget to bring sharpened pencils, eraser, straightedge, and your TI-89 or equivalent.

2.  In Section 8.4, know how to apply the Alternating series test (p. 649).

Class 20 Friday, August 7  

1.  Read about the “Comparison Test [Theorem 6.1]” on pp. 555-557.  (I will not discuss this in class.)

2.  Homework 14 (due Monday): 

                p. 558:  8, 10, 13, 20, 23, 30, 32, 43, 52.

3.  Start reading Section 8.3.

Suggestion.  The Final Exam (comprehensive) is a week from today: this weekend review Sections 4.5-4.8, 5.1-5.4 (omit surface area); 6.1-6.4 & 6.6 so that you can focus entirely on Chapter 8 next week.
