Biological Career Choices

Instructor: Dr. Malinda E.C. Fitzgerald

321-3262 office

Cooper Wilson 112

Thursday I am off campus at UT 448-5724

Other times can be arranged by appointment.

Goals:

The purpose of this course is to expose you to a variety of choices in biological careers. By the end of this class you should be very familiar with at least two potential careers in biology, and hopefully more than two.

Attendance:

Attendance is mandatory. We only meet once a week and missing a class will cut down on your participation and therefore your grade. Outside speakers and visits are required of this course and these canŐt be re-scheduled.

Grading:

This course is pass/fail. You will be graded based on your class participation, writing assignments and evaluation from external individuals that you "shadow".

Schedule of Events.

The complete schedule of speakers is not currently fixed. However the following is a tentative schedule for the first half of the course. Useful links
