Goals:
1. This is a
continuation of the Mentored Research I/Independent Research I.
2. To analyze and
document research conducted under Mentor's direction.
3. Learn how
to present your work in a publication style journal article
4. Learn
research methodology in either a clinical or basic science area that interests
you.
Time Line:
1. Review of
Power Point and excel exercises due with this counts as class
participation.
2. Discuss your results starting Sept 9
Tuesday! Practice organizing and presenting your results.
3. Rough
drafts will be reviewed by your peers, turned in, graded and returned. A final
completed rough draft is due before the end of the fall semester

Participation
is a key to this class!!
You will
receive a rough draft and final grade on each section of your paper. 25 points
each x 10=250 (only one abstract and ref)
You will also
receive points for each section of your power point presentation. 25 each x
4=100
Class
participation 50 points
Paper
sections: Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results,
Discussion/References.
Power Point
Sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions.
This totals 400 points.
