Exams

The following keys to past exams are available so that you can see what I expect from my students on exams concerning particular types of problems. On exams I do not require that a given problem be solved by a particular technique. However, I do require that:

  • ALL WORK must be shown on the exam itself, including the equation
  • the technique used obeys scientific laws
  • the answer be reported to the correct number of significant figures
  • the correct units be reported.

    Note the absence of Exams for 1998. I was on sabbatial leave and another person taught the course.
    Also note that the textbook has changed since 1997, with the order of topics in the new textbook being very different.
