Analytical Chemistry
(Instrumental Analysis)

This course is designed to acquaint the student with the principles involved in the operation of modern laboratory instruments. The course also involves a practical application of these principles through laboratory experiments. Among the topic to be studied are basic electronics, spectroscopy (both optical and non-optical), electrochemistry, and chromatography. The lectures are delivered using PowerPoint multi-media presentation software. The lectures also involve the use of other software on CD-ROM or disk. We regularly surf the WEB for useful information.
