Giardia lamblia: Metabolically active trophozoites reside in the small intestine	Dermacentor andersoni: vector for a variety of rickettsial diseases.
Hookworms: Two species, Ancylostoma duodenale and Necator americanus infect humans. The adults reside in the small intestine.	Pediculus humanus (head louse) adult.
Dirofilaria immitis: Heartworm of dogs, whose adults reside in the right side of the heart.	Mosquito: Females ingest blood for the protein. Male mosquitos ingest plant juices.
