Types of Tissues. III. Muscle.
Skeletal muscle - makes up large muscle layers; multinucleated; proteins organized into myofibrils & striations; under voluntary control; subject to fatigue.
Smooth - is found in tubular muscles as in digestive, excretory & reproductive systems; under involuntary control; uninucleated; not subject to fatigue.
Cardiac - comprises heart; uninucleated; involuntary control; not subject to fatigue; plasma membranes have pores called intercalated disks.
