You must complete the project begun in CS 481. You must pass an assessment test. Prerequisite: CS 481 and senior standing. One semester, three credits. Textbook Refer to an object oriented design text. such as, "Object Oriented Design & Patterns", 2nd edition, C. Horstmann, Wiley, 2006 Goals As goals of the course, you must successfully complete the project selected in CS 481 and you must pass an assessment examination. Prerequisites You should be fluent in at least one language, such as Java, should know abstract data types and should have basic skills in the design and implementation of algorithms to solve applied problems. Sat. morning Final written report 24 Apr. Grades Grades are based on several short progress reports on the project, a formal oral report and a cumulative and complete final report. You must submit these reports on time and in a specified format. In order to pass the course, you must successfully complete the project and must earn a satisfactory score on an assessment examination. The course grade depends on completeness, correctness and complexity of your project. A sponsor for a local project must attend your presentation on 21 April.
