College of Adult Professional Studies
We understand you’re not a traditional student.
That is why our accelerated degree programs are designed with adults in mind. The College of Adult Professional Studies was created to meet the educational needs of working adults so they can realize their dreams of earning a college degree.
Whether you are a professional who needs extra course work to meet the requirements for a promotion at work, a single parent who hopes to finish a degree started a little while back, or someone who is simply looking for a chance at a new professional and personal beginning, choosing one of the adult education programs at Christian Brothers University is the option for you.

The hybrid format gives you face-to-face time with faculty and peers on CBU’s midtown Memphis campus once a week along with the flexibility to do additional course work online. We know your schedule can be tight. So, we offer two-hour evening courses paired with three hours each week of online instruction via lecture, chat, and online discussion.
Flexible Courses in a Personalized Setting
CBU has an excellent reputation for individualized attention provided by highly qualified faculty in accelerated and flexible eight-week courses. We are happy to work with you to put together a convenient schedule that meets your individual learning goals. In addition to fantastic adult education classes, we provide:
- A personal approach to education: small class size, dedicated faculty and academic advisors
- Flexible scheduling options: to accommodate the busy schedules of working adults
- Practical curriculum with built-in opportunities for personal and professional development
We are proud to work closely with our students as they pursue their adult education degree and humbled by the incredible effort and drive of our adult learners to learn, grow, and keep an open mind.
