Undergraduate

The School of Engineering offers a 50+ year legacy of individualized engineering education offering accredited degrees in the four major engineering disciplines: chemical, civil, electrical, and mechanical.

Our goal is to nurture the intellectual, professional, and personal development of our students as we prepare them to be effective, productive, and ethical engineers. A CBU engineering education is distinguished by personalized interaction between students and faculty, a strong laboratory component in the curricula, and an emphasis on real world experience through hand-on design projects and paid internships.

The School of Engineering strives to prepare its students with a sense of ethics and professionalism necessary for entry into the engineering profession, related fields and graduate programs. Our undergraduate students annually compete in regional and national conferences and competitions, advancing their skills in oral presentation, written communication, and real-time problem solving. During the senior year, students are challenged to apply what they have learned through a comprehensive design project often done in conjunction with their internship or an engineering practitioner. A majority of our students have paid internship experience by the time they graduate, providing them with a unique advantage in today’s high demand job market. With these foundations, our graduates sustain successful careers as critical thinkers and lifelong learners, enhancing a CBU engineering education.
