Associate of Science in Applied Health Services

This program offers a personalized pathway for health service professionals seeking advanced health care degrees. The Applied Health Services program was designed to support First Responders, such as emergency management technicians, firefighters, and paramedics, obtain further education and expand their careers.

Crafted with careful consideration of incoming adult students and their busy and demanding work commitments, the Applied Health Services curriculum offers highly flexible, hybrid schedule options. The program operates based on a Flex Schedule, meaning that students enrolled in the Applied Health Services program have the option of attending one of two on-campus meeting times during the week. This Flex Schedule allows students to choose the night of the week that best accommodates their work obligations, making program completion more attainable for First Responders.

The program also places a high priority on degree acceleration, meaning that it takes less time for students to earn their degree. With that goal in mind, CBU's Allied Health Services degree allows students to transfer credits based on prior learning and professional certification. Accelerated terms are eight-weeks long with five start times per year: August, October, January, March, and June. Students can earn the credit equivalents of a full-time student by taking two courses every term.

Students completing the Associate of Science in Applied Health Services degree will acquire the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to succeed and advance in their chosen career field. Completion of this program will provide students with opportunities to pursue further learning, assume responsibilities of informed citizenship in their communities and position themselves for career advancement.
