Brother Terence McLaughlin, FSC was born on December 14, 1922 in Duluth, Minnesota, where he attended Boys Cathedral High School under the direction of the Brothers. He entered the Brothers in 1940 and received his B.Sc. from St. Mary’s University in Winona, Minnesota. His educational experiences have covered assignments as teacher, assistant principal, principal, superintendent, and director of education. He served as President of Christian Brothers University from 1962 to 1964. He has served in Brothers’ schools in Minnesota, Indiana, England, and Tennessee. Brother Terence received the Distinguished Service Medal from St. Thomas College in Minnesota, an Honorary Doctorate from Lewis University in Illinois, and also from St. Mary’s University in Minnesota. In 2014 he was named recipient of the Bishop Dozier Peace and Justice award from CBU. In his retirement he keeps active reading, researching, and writing.
