Ron Brandon has been named chief financial officer and vice president for administration & finance for Christian Brothers University (CBU), effective October 11, 2017.
Brandon comes to CBU from the Catholic Diocese of Memphis, where he currently serves as chief financial officer. Previously, he was the CFO of Memphis-based Protech Systems Group, Inc. for eight years, following a stint in the same role with the YMCA of Memphis and the Mid-South.
“It is with great enthusiasm that I have accepted the offer to serve at my alma mater. As an alumnus, I owe much of my success to the education afforded me at Christian Brothers University. I am looking forward to the opportunity to put my experience to work for the city’s oldest institution of higher learning,” said Brandon.
Brandon received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from CBU and is a CPA. He succeeds Carolyn Head, who has accepted the position of senior vice president and CFO at Lewis University in Romeoville, IL.
Brandon will serve as the chief administrative and financial officer for the University, overseeing all financial functions, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and planning. Food management, human resources, purchasing, facilities administration, and bookstore management will also fall under Brandon’s purview in accordance with the mission and goals of CBU.
