Chicago Alumni Supporting Chicago Students
Since our founding in 1871, Christian Brothers College and,
later, University, has maintained close ties to the city from which many of our
Brothers came. Throughout our history, secondary
schools in Chicago have shepherded young men and women to Memphis to study with
the de La Salle Christian Brothers. That
tradition continues as we work to pave the way for today’s Windy City students
to pursue their dreams of higher education at CBU. Now, you have the opportunity to help!
The Noble Network of schools shares CBU’s commitment to
educating high potential students who might fall through the cracks of the
traditional education system. The Noble Schools
low-income students with the scholarship, discipline, and honor necessary to
succeed in college and lead exemplary lives.
Noble currently manages 17 schools serving over 11,000
students from more than 70 Chicago communities. With an average merit scholarship of $11,000, full Pell Grants and
loans, Noble students hoping to attend CBU are still faced with out of pocket expenses
for tuition and housing exceeding $15,000.
This Challenge aims to bridge the financial gap for Noble Network graduates, making their dreams of a CBU education possible. Generous Alumni have challenged fellow Chicago-area Bucs to
reach $60,000 in gifts by May 31, 2016.
The donors will match your gifts, dollar for dollar, up to $20,000. Join this effort to make a difference in the
lives of Chicago students. Give today.
Every Gift Makes A Difference!
