Christian Brothers University is committed to the health, well-being, and safety of the campus community. To ensure that we are ready to welcome our students back to campus for the Fall 2020 term, the Reopening CBU Advisory Task Force has worked in collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team, the Academic Council, Human Resources, and unit supervisors to develop the safest and most supportive methods for returning to campus. The plan attached to this email details how the University campus will reopen in a phased, safe manner.
The “CBU Safe at Work” campaign is an initiative that permits supervisors to develop a plan to bring employees back to campus in a phased approach. Through this effort, Human Resources and the task force will be able to assess and coordinate with supervisors and develop plans for safe workspaces on campus.
This plan is subject to revisions based on changing circumstances and the guidance issued by governmental and local entities such as the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Department of Education, State of Tennessee, and the Shelby County Health Department. Updated versions of the plan will be distributed to you through your CBU email, and the latest draft can be found at www.cbu.edu/reopening.
