Academic Programs

CBU is consistently rated one of the best Universities in the Southeast and in the nation. We are recognized for our academic excellence, engaged faculty and caring environment. Of course, the most valuable recognition comes in the form of feedback from our own students who continue to praise their CBU education for the quality of their professors, the great career prospects it provides and the low levels of debt with which they graduate.

A Culture of Excellence

Education at the university level extends far beyond academics. It is measured by more than test scores, grades, and degrees; it's also measured in relationships, life lessons, and personal growth. Coming to the university setting is all about developing the whole person. CBU is committed to the mental, social, spiritual, and professional growth of each student. Our programs and services are designed to assist you through the various aspects of your own life journey.

"The events that come to campus offer opportunities to do things that I would not normally get to do. I've met a best-selling author. I've listened to professors from other parts of the country. CBU offers events all year round that inspire, interest, and challenge you."

Becky Waufford

"I wanted to experience life on my own at a small school. I try to do a lot, and I think that's what they encourage here at CBU. Most students on campus are involved in one way or another. It's a great way to feel a part of a community."

Nathan Sampson

Class of 2015

"The faculty and staff really care about us as students. My advisor and my professors are genuinely interested in my future, and they show it by the time and attention they are willing to give me - both inside and outside of class."

Taylor Flake

Class of 2017

"The campus life here at CBU is very positive and active. It is awesome how easy it is to get involved at CBU and become a part of the campus community. Here, everyone knows your name by, like, the third month of school."
