Helping to Develop Strategies Working with College Students on the Autism Spectrum
There is an increase in the number of students on the Autism Spectrum attending institutions of higher education each year. It is highly likely that many of you will have these students in your classes. This session will explore characteristics of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), recommendations for teaching students with ASD and discuss on campus services in place to support the students.
The Office of Student Disabilities Services is offering a series of Brown Bag Luncheons in the Spring of 2018. Each luncheon focuses on an aspect of a disability and is co-sponsored by Student Disability Services and the Accommodations Committee, Health Resources, the Counseling Center, Rosa Deal School of Arts, and STARS (Students Tackling Autism-Related Syndromes.) Reservations are required and can be made at firstname.lastname@example.org.
