The Distracted Classroom: Addiction and Lack of Impulse Control
Thursday, March 22 • 12:30-1:45 p.m. • Rosa Deal 111
Faculty members from the School of Arts will discuss the dysfunctional behavior of college students and cell phones in the classroom. Addiction and lack of impulse is one way to explain the dysfunctional behavior. Students’ bodies are sometime in the classroom, but their minds are somewhere else. Faculty will also share tips on how to handle this addiction in the classroom.
The Office of Student Disabilities Services is offering a series of Brown Bag Luncheons in the Spring of 2018. Each luncheon focuses on an aspect of a disability and is co-sponsored by Student Disability Services and the Accommodations Committee, Health Resources, the Counseling Center, Rosa Deal School of Arts, and STARS (Students Tackling Autism-Related Syndromes.) Reservations are required and can be made at firstname.lastname@example.org.
