Biography

Ms. Schriner is blessed to be a member of the inaugural class of physician assistants in Memphis, TN. Her career as a PA encompasses experience in emergency medicine, urgent care/occupational health, endocrinology, internal medicine, infectious disease medicine, and palliative medicine. As much as she loves building rapport with her patients, her heart has always been at home in academics. She holds a Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. She is always looking for new ways to improve health education, and she plans to finish her doctorate in this field in the coming years.

Her awards and accomplishments include: Sigma Beta Delta Scholarship Award (national), PA Program Top Student Award (CBU), PA Program Alumni Award (CBU), J.C Carey Memorial Scholarship (Tennessee PA Foundation), Joe and Pat Johnson Award (UTHSC), First Year Award (Belmont University), Ronald M. Barrett Prehealth Award (Belmont University), Donald R. Ramage Award for Service to the Learning Community in Biology (Belmont University), Alpha Chi Honor Society (Belmont University), Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society (CBU), and TriBeta Honor Society (Belmont University).

Her areas of research include: Role of technology in transforming health education and health care delivery; Integrative therapy as an adjunct (not an alternative) to traditional medicine; Importance of palliative medicine in the holistic approach to disease. Her primary areas of instruction include general medicine, infectious diseases, medical history and physical examination documentation, palliative medicine, and endocrinology.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and walking her dog. She is also an avid gardener and a proud supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
