The Hilton Memphis ~ Tennessee Grand Ballroom

This unforgettable evening will be a festive charitable event, a tribute to the history of Lasallian education in Memphis, and a great way to reconnect with old friends. And since all proceeds support CBU’s exceptional academic programs and scholarships, it’s a great way to invest in the future of our students and our community.

2015 Distinguished Alumni Awards

CBU) will honor Steve Dunavant as its 2015 Distinguished Alumnus and Brother Dylan Perry as the Distinguished Young Alumnus at its 4th Annual Bell Tower Gala.

Steve Dunavant ('83) has more than 30 years of public accounting experience, and currently serves as a managing director for the Memphis office of CBIZ MHM, LLC. Steve was one of the founding members of its predecessor firm, Thompson Dunavant PLC. He currently serves on the CBU Board of Trustees as Vice Chairman and the Americana Music Society. He is a past Chairman of the Board for the Visible Music College and a former board member of Triumph Bank.

Brother Dylan Perry ('10) is the associate director of the Lasallian Volunteers for the De La Salle Christian Brothers. He has served in this role since 2013 and is responsible for the well-being and formation of nearly 50 LVs each year who serve in Catholic schools and social service institutions around the country. He was accepted into postulancy as a Christian Brother in July of this year. Postulancy is a period of time to learn to integrate faith, service, and community and to discern one’s call to the Brothers’ life.

Also being honored at this year's Gala is the CBC Class of 1955, the first four-year graduating class since college classes had been suspended in 1915 due to World War I.

2015 Maurelian Medal

CBU will also honor Barbara Daush as the recipient of the Maurelian Medal for her distinguished service to Memphis education during her tenure as president of St. Agnes Academy - St. Dominic School. Named for Brother Maurelian, the University's first president, the Maurelian Medal is awarded to an individual who has contributed in a significant way through service to the university or the community, or to someone who has distinguished himself or herself in the field of education.
