Poverty, Faith, and Justice in America - Guest Speaker

Dr. Pete Gathje, former CBU professor and current professor of Christian Ethics at Memphis Theological Seminary, will speak on "Poverty, Faith, and Justice in America” on Wednesday, March 4 in the first floor lab of Plough Library, 12:00-1:00 p.m.

Dr. Gathje was also part of a grassroots movement that opened Manna House, a safe haven and place of hospitality for homeless individuals. Manna House is run on donations and operated entirely by volunteers.

The address is part of a Special Topics/Honors course entitled Poverty, Faith, and Justice in America that’s being taught by Dr. Jennifer Weske this semester. ALL MEMBERS OF THE CBU COMMUNITY ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND.
