Sustain-a-Book Contest 2017

Plough Library's repurposed book art contest, Sustain-a-Book, is back for spring 2017. Transform an old, worn-out book into something decorative or functional, or both. If you make something spectacular, you may win one of four $50 prizes (see categories below). In addition, all entrants will be entered into a drawing for a bicycle from Revolutions Bicycle Co-op.

This year's prize categories are:

  • Theme of Sustainability: how well the work relates to sustainability. Learn more about CBU's sustainability efforts.
  • Technical Skill: the amount of perceived skill needed and used to complete the alteration.
  • Literary Theme: how well the new work relates thematically with the subject of the fiction or non-fiction book used in its construction.
  • People's Choice: awarded to the entry that receives the most votes from the CBU community.

The contest deadline is 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2017!
