Favorite thing about CBU: Service-oriented students. CBU’s mission is founded on service in community, and I frequently see students living this mission out in the Memphis community.
Best thing about your job:
Moving from high school to college is much like approaching a high dive board as you get ready to make a leap into the pool. It can be overwhelming, strategic, stressful, intentional, and confusing. I love working with students as they navigate the move to college to ensure they get the best spring possible, and to make sure they don’t belly flop!
What would you say to a student who isn’t sure whether CBU is the right place for them?
First, no college is right for every student. Ask yourself what you want out of college, and can CBU offer that? Second, get on campus and talk with the faculty within your major. This will give you a good clue as to whether CBU is a good fit for you!

Favorite CBU tradition: Freshman orientation! There is such a great energy on campus as students begin a new chapter in their lives. I love getting to welcome them to the CBU family!
Best thing about your job: I love meeting new students and learning more about their aspirations for college and life after. Our applicants dream big!
One piece of advice for a successful application: Take your time and proofread your application!

One piece of advice for a successful application: Ensure that you are honest on all of your responses (honesty is the best policy!)☺
What would you say to a student who isn’t sure whether CBU is the right place for them? If you are searching for a place that’s not too big and has educators who are not only teachers, but mentors who value your education and want to ensure that you are more than prepared for your career, then CBU is the place for you!

Favorite CBU tradition: I have two… Painting the rock, because it is fun seeing the new rock each time it is painted and my second is September of Service because it is an incredible way to get involved in the community outside of CBU and to help make our city even more extraordinary and it is a great way to make connections with the rest of the CBU community!
One piece of advice for a successful application: Making sure your ACT score is as high as you can get it and taking it multiple times for super scoring.
What would you say to a student who isn’t sure whether CBU is the right place for them? I say come check it out, the best way to see if it is for you is by visiting and possibly sitting in on a class!
