Permanent Art Collection

Since the reestablishment of the Gallery on campus under the guidance and supervision of Brother Robert Werle, the University has acquired almost 3,315 pieces of art which have been catalogued in 26 collections and two portfolio collections including oil paintings, drawings, photographs, sculpture, studio glass, art glass, pottery, textiles, and woodwork. A general rule at the University is that all art work in public places must be original works of art and thus a visitor to campus will find art in the gardens, in classrooms, in corridors and stairwells, in the offices of the chief administrators, in conference rooms, and in the Plough Library.
