Construction of the Rosa Deal School of Arts—A Retrospective
About
The Rosa Deal School of the Arts was constructed on the site of Kenrick Hall, CBU's first building at the East Parkway campus. The new building is a state-of-the-art educational facility that houses:
- Multimodal classrooms and presentation suites
- Specialized studios for Visual Arts majors
- Writing center offering students one-on-one assistance for their class papers
- Modern language lab for English speakers learning a foreign language and for international students fine-tuning their English skills
- Rehearsal and performance space for theatre productions
- Cutting-edge psychology lab with research equipment unavailable at other area universities
- Resource centers for mentoring and tutoring
- Common spaces for students
The Rosa Deal School of Arts is part of the "Faith in Progress" capital campaign, which seeks to raise $70 million for program enhancements, capital improvements, and community outreach to prepare the next generation of students.
