2018-2019 SGA EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
Our goal this year is to inspire school spirit by bridging gaps through inter-organizational community, inviting participation, encouraging to-way communication while embracing Memphis and upholding the values of CBU.
Megan Wilson, Senior Natural Science Major
Megan's role as SGA President is to organize, call, and preside over meetings of the Executive Council, instruct and require reports from the Executive Council members, and serve as the primary spokesperson for the student body to the Faculty and Administration of the University. She is also involved in Alpha Xi Delta and works as an OT Tech at OrthoMemphis.
VP of Senate
Miguel Garcia, Junior English for Corporate Communications with a minor in Political Science
As VP of Senate, Miguel takes charge as the speaker and chairperson of the student senate, which is an elected group of 14 students representing all campus schools. This organization of students is dedicated to passing resolutions that positively impact the CBU community. They also play a vital role in recognizing clubs on campus. In addition to drafting legislation, the Senate serves alongside the Executive Council as a voice for the CBU students and the community as a whole. Miguel is also involved in President's Ambassador, Voices United, and Swap Chair for TKE. He will be an RA for the 2019-2020 school year.
VP of Finance
Hung Nguyen, Senior Business Administration with a concentration in Finance
Hung's role as VP of Finance is to serve as recording and corresponding Treasurer of the SGA. He establishes and maintains an audit system for the SGA. Hung also helps to collect and maintain records of money collected at SGA events and distribute allocations for clubs and organizations. He is involved in TKE, President's Ambassador, and is serving as an RA this year.
VP of Campus Relations
Eboni Holloway, Senior Natural Science Major with a minor in Anthropology
As VP of Campus Relations, Eboni serves as a liaison between student organizations and CBU. She leads mandatory workshops for new and current student organizations. She is involved in other organizations such as being the president of the CBU chapter of NPHC, the epistoleous of the Pi Pi Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority Inc., and the Historian for the Black Student Association.
VP of Communications
Kristine Truong, Junior Biology major
As VP of Communications, Kristine makes flyers for SGA-related events and assists in promoting other organizations' events. She is expected to manage SGA's social media accounts, such as Instagram, and publicizes upcoming events that are hosted by SGA. She also takes minutes within EC meetings. Kristine is involved in Tri-Beta as Publicity Chair, President's Ambassador, and works at St. Jude as well as the CBU Admissions Department.
