Dear Rhodes Students:

The Division of Student Development and Campus Life welcomes you to the CBU campus for the upcoming  semester.  The division supervises and oversees programs and services such as residential life, student organizations, counseling, health services, student conduct, and the university police department and campus safety.  We have partnered with Rhodes College administration to facilitate a seamless and successful experience.  

Please review the following important information. It will provide you with details on what to expect when you arrive on campus.  

MOVING ONTO CAMPUS

You will arrive for move-in at Christian Brothers University and enter through the Central Avenue gate (Campus Map)  Upon entering, a Safety Officer will provide you with directions to the check-in center, located in the Cooper-Wilson Center for Life Sciences (2440 Central Ave, Memphis, TN 38104).  

Opportunities for check-in include the following: 

  • Friday, August 5, 2022
    • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 pm
  • Tuesday, August 9, 2022
    • 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 pm
  • Saturday, August 20, 2022
    • 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 pm

Staff will be located in the Cooper-Wilson foyer to provide you with a packet of helpful information which will include your CBU ID card and vehicle parking permit. 

Once you have completed the check-in process, you will return to your vehicle and drive to the Maurelian Resident Parking Lot.

  • Exit the lot and take a right onto Central Avenue. 
  • At the stop light, take a right onto East Parkway South. 
  • Enter the second CBU entrance gate on your right.  
  • At that time, a Safety Officer will provide you with parking instructions.
  • Find your assigned room in Maurelian Hall.

RHODES RESIDENTS WELCOME MEETING

The CBU and Rhodes Residence Life & Housing teams will host a joint meeting for Rhodes residents during your first week of classes.  Stay tuned for more information.

CBU DINING OPTIONS

Rhodes students are welcome to utilize either of the food options below, while on campus.  Cash, credit cards and Buccaneer Bucks (money deposited into a CBU account) are accepted. 

CBU CAMPUS POLICE & SAFETY

The Department of Campus Police & Safety is comprised of sworn Campus Police Officers and non-sworn Campus Security Officers. Both complement each other in enforcing laws and regulations and providing for the overall protection of our campus.  Members of the Department of Campus Police & Safety are available 24/7 by calling 901-321-3550.
