CREATIVE WRITING CLUB

The Creative Writing Club is open to all students with a passion or interest in creative writing. This club will sponsor a reading series and members will participate in a university-wide creative writing project. Come share your poetry, tell us your best story, and contribute to Castings. KAPPA DELTA PI

Commencement is the time of year when the Kappa Delta Pi, an education honor society, typically invites new members to join whether as continuing students or as prospective alumni/alumnae of CBU's education programs. Contact: Department of Education | Tel: (901) 321-4350

 

PHI ALPHA THETA

Phi Alpha Theta is a national honor society for history students. The CBU chapter Alpha Delta Phi, strives to promote an interest in history throughout the CBU community. Its goal is to bring students, teachers, and writers of history together both intellectually and socially.  
 
What we do:
 
● sponsor trips to local events, sites, and museums
● host guest speakers
● offer career guidance for history majors
● provide opportunities for publication and monetary prizes for student essays

Membership with Phi Alpha Theta includes a minimum of 12 hours in history with a GPA of 3.1 and a GPA of 3.0 overall. Contact: Dr. Neal Palmer | E-mail

 

PSI CHI / PSYCHOLOGY CLUB

The purpose of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in psychology, is to encourage, stimulate and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to maintain the science of psychology.
