Distinguished Alumnus Award

The Distinguished Alumnus Award is presented in the categories of achievement and service. The purpose of the Distinguished Alumnus Award is to publicly recognize alumni for distinguished personal and career accomplishments and for exemplary contributions to society that bring credit to the Christian Brothers University. Additionally, the Distinguished Alumnus Award publicly honors alumni who have performed distinguished service for CBU through cumulative contributions or by an extraordinary act or effort that advances the University.

Each year the Distinguished Alumnus Award is given at the Bell Tower Gala.

Qualifications

The Distinguished Alumnus Award recognizes a graduate of Christian Brothers University who has achieved a notable level of success in life, made significant contributions to his or her profession, supported the efforts of CBU, and contributed to society through public service and/or church activities.



Eligibility

To be eligible, a person must be a graduate of Christian Brothers University with a bachelor or master’s degree, and must be 35 years or older. Unless there is a compelling reason to merit an exception, only one award will be given each year.
