
The Institute for Leadership Development at Christian Brothers University has successfully completed its comprehensive Emerging Leadership & Innovation Certificate Program, graduating 50 professionals who have enhanced their leadership capabilities through this transformative educational experience.
Program Highlights: The 16-module program combined face-to-face and virtual learning experiences, covering essential leadership competencies including strength-based leadership, emotional intelligence, team effectiveness, conflict management, and cross-generational communication. Participants could complete any eight modules to earn their certificate, with sessions conveniently scheduled in half-day formats to accommodate working professionals.
The program’s success reflects the growing demand for practical, accessible leadership development that meets the needs of today’s working professionals.

Innovative Curriculum: Topics ranged from coaching for development and building trust to managing virtual workforces and delivering impactful performance feedback
Experiential Learning: Included award-winning simulations like “Patient Zero” and “Leadership and Team Simulation: Everest”
Flexible Format: Mix of in-person and virtual sessions from January through May
MBA Credit Available: Qualified participants could earn MBA course credit
Scholarship Support: Full scholarships were available for leaders from organizations within Shelby County employing 12 or fewer employees
Executive Coaching Component: Many graduates also participated in the complementary Executive Coaching Program, featuring eight one-on-one sessions focused on discovering authentic leadership voice, enhancing self-awareness, building resilience, and aligning personal values with professional goals.
