Christian Brothers University (CBU) has partnered with Lewis University to bring the Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence (MS in AI) to Memphis. This graduate program is delivered fully online, giving you the flexibility to balance work, life, and education, while also providing full access to CBU’s campus amenities, including the library, study areas, fitness center, and academic services.
The Artificial Intelligence master’s degree program will equip you with in-depth knowledge and practical skills needed to build and implement modern AI systems. The master’s degree provides the necessary theoretical background in machine learning and artificial intelligence, knowledge related to the application of artificial intelligence in computing systems, and the ethical implications in the development and use of artificial intelligence. You will be prepared for a wide range of careers where artificial intelligence is applied, including work in industry or the government, or further graduate studies.

PROGRAM DETAILS: MASTER OF SCIENCE IN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (MSAI)
Online Flexible Format Designed for Working Professionals
To complete the Artificial Intelligence master’s degree, students will need to complete a minimum of 34 credit hours, which include 25 credit hours in core courses, including a 3-credit-hour Master’s Project, 6 credit hours of foundation courses, and 3 credit hours of elective courses. Elective courses may be substituted for foundation courses for students with sufficient background (i.e., a baccalaureate degree in computer science or a closely related field).
Unique Practical Capstone Experience
Your final experience in the program is a 3 credit-hour of Master’s Project to earn the MSAI degree. This experience is fulfilled by completing CPSC 69300 AI Master’s Project. In this course, you will develop a solution to an AI-related problem, write a capstone paper, and give a capstone presentation, unless the capstone adviser and the Graduate Program Director approve some other method.

Admission Requirements
Applicants must meet the following admission requirements for the master’s in Artificial Intelligence program:
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
A completed application for graduate admission
Official transcripts from all educational institutions attended.
Two letters of recommendation.
International students are required to have a TOEFL test score greater than 550 (computer-based 213; Internet-based 79) or an IELTS score greater than 6.5.
