The Department of Religion & Philosophy will be hosting a guest lecture by Dr. Ammon Allred, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Toledo, on Thursday, April 22, 6:00-7:30 pm. Dr. Allred’s lecture, “The Origin Story of the World,” will explore what our capacity to share stories about “mythical” worlds might tell us about our capacity to share the “real” world, and also how our attitudes toward story-telling shapes (or deforms) our understanding of democracy. A Q&A session will follow the lecture.
