The Office of Student Engagement is sponsoring free tickets to Hattiloo Theatre's production of Shakin' the Mess Outta Misery, available to CBU students during Black History Month. The play is "a timeless coming of age tale that explores passage into womanhood, race, and rituals in the 1960s south." Hattiloo Theatre's production has available show dates on Saturday, February 4 (2:00 pm), Friday, February 10 (7:30 pm), and Saturday, February 25. Students MUST email rkirby@cbu.edu to receive tickets.
Additional Details
The play follows “Daughter,” the main character and 25-year-old narrator who shares memories of being raised by a community of women after losing her mother as a child.
