The Office of Student Engagement is sponsoring free tickets to Hattiloo Theatre's production of Shakin' the Mess Outta Misery, available to CBU students during Black History Month. The play is " a timeless coming of age tale that explores passage into womanhood, race, and rituals in the 1960s south." Hattiloo Theatre's production has available show dates on Friday, February 10 (7:30 pm), and Saturday, February 25 (7:30). Students MUST email rkirby@cbu.edu to receive tickets.

Written by Shay Youngblood, the play follows “Daughter,” the main character and 25-year-old narrator who shares memories of being raised by a community of women after losing her mother as a child.
