CBU is hosting the Tennessee Society of CPAs Discover Accounting Program on campus Friday, December 2. Students will have a chance to explore the many opportunities within the accounting profession with hands-on learning activities and face-to face conversations with CPAs. This is a FREE one-day field trip! Lunch is included for all attendees.

9:00 -9:15a.m. Welcome/Ice Breaker Activity, (Megan Williams, Students & Emerging Professionals Manager, TSCPA)
9:15-9:45a.m.The Accounting Profession –Accountant vs. CPA, Types & Tracks in the Profession (Volunteer)
9:45-10:25a.m.Round Robin Activity Students will rotate in groups to talk one-on-one with local CPAs practicing in various career tracks. (5-7 Volunteers)

10:30–11:00 a.m. Why an Accounting Major Makes $en$e Preparing for College and the Real World (Professor)
11:00–11:25a.m.Accounting Jeopardy Test your accounting knowledge and see how much you learned today. (Megan Williams Students & Emerging Professionals Manager, TSCPA)
11:30 a.m. –12:15 p.m. Campus Tour
12:15–1:00 p.m. Lunch
