Biography

Stella C. Ukaoma, PharmD, MPH, PhD(c) is an adjunct faculty member (Pharmacology) for the Department of Physician Assistant Studies at Christian Brothers University School of Physician Assistant Studies. She also works for CVS/Pharmacy. In her role as a community pharmacist at CVS, Stella provides direct, responsible, medication-related care to patients for the purpose of achieving definite outcomes that improve the quality of patients’ lives.

Prior to joining CVS/Pharmacy, Dr. Ukaoma practiced as a specialty pharmacist focusing on dispensing, medication therapy management, patient advocacy and therapy compliance for high cost, high touch medication therapy for patients with complex disease states.

Dr. Ukaoma earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from Howard University in Washington, DC, and a master’s in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD. She additionally completed a specialized residency in Pharmacy Administration at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Dr. Ukaoma is currently working towards her PhD in Social Behavioral Sciences at the University of Memphis, where her research interests revolve around the role of pharmacists in smoking cessation.

Outside of work, Dr. Ukaoma is an avid chess player and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
