AMERICA ALANIZ
MICAIAH HALLIBURTON
NOAH HENDREE
AMBER LANDRY
America Alaniz is a Memphis-based artist and graphic designer, born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. She began painting in middle school and later expanded her creative practice into graphic design, training at Christian Brothers University. Her work is inspired by her community and a commitment to helping others through thoughtful design.
Alongside her graphic design practice, she continues to create traditional artwork. America has worked with organizations including the United Nations, Shelby County Government Division of Community Services, and the Art for All camp program. She also designed the 2025 Christian Brothers University Castings publication and received second place in graphic design.
Micaiah Hallibuton is a visual artist and graphic designer from Memphis, TN, whose work blends elements of nature, fashion, and abstract expression. Growing up with a fascination for bright color, texture, and design, MJ developed a strong interest in both traditional art and digital media. She is currently pursuing her creative practice through graphic design and fine art, creating work that reflects her curiosity for form and emotion. MJ has experience designing promotional materials, event graphics, and branding projects for the nonprofit JLM, where she creates flyers, social media content, apparel designs, and signage. Through her art, MJ continues to explore themes of identity, creativity, and visual storytelling.
Noah Hendree was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. He is working to get a BA in Visual Arts with a focus in Graphic Design at Christian Brothers University. His creative practice usually consists of digital art, mainly hand-drawn illustration work. A lot of the time, he gets to work on art commissions online for anyone interested. With these art commissions, or even personal work, he enjoys creating anime-style art pieces that feature one’s favorite character. Sometimes those pieces may include background work, which is something Noah is still practicing.
Amber Landry was born and raised in Atoka, TN, and has been doing art since she was a young child. After taking a graphic design class in high school, she was sold and turned a hobby into a prospective career. She trained at Christian Brothers University and is currently a senior there. Her work is frequently inspired by synthwave aesthetics, pulling color and a retro look into her work. She also dabbles in sculptural and textile work, and pulls inspiration from Cajun culture and loves making things for her friends and family. Some of her well-known works include being the Castings cover design winner in 2024, and being the first-place Graphic Design entry for Castings 2025. She has also done work with the United Nations, Christian Brothers University, and the Shelby County Government.
The Beverly + Sam Ross Gallery is located on the lower level of Plough Memorial Library in the center of campus on the Buckman Quadrangle, easily accessible from the Central Avenue parking lot and the East Parkway entrance. All exhibits are free and open to the public.
