Exercise Your Rights and Make Your Voice Heard!

Bucs Vote to Honor the Change to Come and the Sacrifices Made… 

Bucs Vote emphasizes the power of our right to hear heard. Through this branch of programming, we aim as a collegiate community to:

  • Raise the awareness and the knowledge associated in navigating the democratic system and using it effectively to galvanize socio-economic change and community cohesion. 
  • Create community between the residential, academic, and political populations within Memphis/Shelby County in transparent and bipartisan conversation and service-based activities. 
  • Equip CBU students, staff, and faculty to be active participants within the local landscape in increasing voter turnout, polling accessibility, and other equitable voting practices. 

When you are at the polling station, please remember to bring a TN-issued photo ID or US passport. And, while you are at it, please thank your election workers for keeping democracy moving forward!

Elections offer each of us the opportunity to make our voices heard as we come together as a nation to cast our votes. As we do so, we also have the duty as citizens to sustain and advance the democracy that’s been entrusted to us.

Inclusivity of others, particularly the marginalized, and respect for all, especially in partisan times, are at the very heart of our mission and values as a Lasallian community. When Bucs Vote — acting together and by association — we can and will create a better world.
