Christian Brothers University (CBU) has once again earned the highest distinction, “Exceeding Expectations,” in the latest Annual Educator Preparation Report Card from the Tennessee State Board of Education, reinforcing its continued excellence in preparing future educators.

CBU remains among a select group of institutions statewide to receive this recognition. The report evaluates Tennessee educator preparation providers (EPPs) based on candidate recruitment, employment outcomes, and teacher effectiveness. 

CBU’s Department of Education in the Rosa Deal School of Arts emphasizes strong school partnerships and practical training that equips graduates with the tools to succeed in today’s classrooms. The department continues to support innovative pathways into the profession, including programs designed for aspiring teachers seeking certification and licensure while serving in local schools.

This latest recognition affirms CBU’s commitment to addressing the ongoing teacher shortage and strengthening communities across Memphis and beyond through high-quality educator preparation.
