The Memphis Business Journal’s fifth annual Power 100 list was released with online profiles of the area’s top business and community leaders on March 25. The 2024 Power 100 profiles the 100 most influential leaders in the Mid-South, as chosen by the MBJ editorial staff last fall. CBU President David Archer is among the 100 selected to this prestigious list. He was also selected to the 2023 Power 100 list.

“David Archer became president of Christian Brothers University (CBU) in 2022 following a successful interim term met with positive feedback from CBU’s faculty, staff, students, administrators, and trustees. Archer worked in health care from 1997 until his retirement in 2016, with leadership roles at hospitals in Missouri, California, Texas, Florida, and Arkansas. He joined CBU after serving as CEO of Memphis’ Saint Francis Healthcare for nearly 20 years. With a BBA, MBA, and MA in theology, Archer originally transitioned to academia in 2017 as an associate professor of management and director of CBU’s Healthcare MBA Program in its School of Business.”
