The Spring 2026 Herff Awards Ceremony on April 23 at the University of Memphis provided an opportunity to celebrate engineering leaders, including two members of the Christian Brothers University community whose work continues to make a meaningful impact.
Andrew Assadollahi, Ph.D., P.E., Dean of the School of Engineering at Christian Brothers University, received the Distinguished Academic Excellence Award, which recognizes outstanding dedication to advancing academic achievement and leadership in engineering education. A respected educator and leader, Assadollahi prepares the next generation of engineers with rigor and purpose.
JT Malasri, P.E., a two-time CBU graduate (‘06 & ‘12), earned the Distinguished Philanthropy & Community Impact Award, which recognizes outstanding efforts to improve communities through philanthropy and service. His dedication to giving back reflects the broader mission of engineering as a force for good.
